Although I enjoy using fine equipment, I don't believe it ultimately matters what equipment is used. Some of my favorite images have been taken with my simplest, least sophisticated and least expensive equipment. My photographs shown here were taken with a variety of equipment. In the past I have used Canon, Leica, and Nikon 35 mm cameras. Before moving to high resolution digital imaging in late 2004, I used Rollei SL-66 and 6008 medium format cameras, as well as Linhof 2x3 and 4x5 view cameras. Many of the images here were created with the Canon 1Ds Mark II, Leica R9 with Digital-Modul-R as well as a Linhof Technikardan 45s view camera. I currently use Canon 5D MkII and Leica M8 cameras. If you're more curious you can have a look at my camera bag (although I admit to being slow in updating these pages).

For tripods, I use Gitzo and Bogen carbon fiber and aluminum tripods, fitted with Arca Swiss, Really Right Stuff and Markins ballheads. All of my cameras and lenses have Really Right Stuff Arca-styled quick release plates.

Film is scanned using a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000ED scanner. Digital images are captured in RAW format and preprocessed using Phase One's Capture One software with final adjustments made using Adobe Photoshop. Images are printed using archival inks and papers on Epson 2200 or Epson 7800 printers using the ImagePrint RIP.
